How do you feel about your children reading mature books in High school?
I know the book of which you are referring to, and I read it for the first time in 10th grade, as part of the regular curriculum (in a public high school). This book in particular is considered a post-modern clic. I grew up in a household where censorship of the written word did not exist. If I wanted to read something, and could comprehend it, then I did so, with my parent's blessing. I will allow my children the same freedom. Whether they want to read Lolita, Brave New World, or a trashy romance novel, they will be able to do so.
