So what is the problem here?

Your first problem is that you are not taking taxes into account. Your pay will not be tax free, so right off the bat you are getting cut down to more like 1300-1400 per month. With just over 1000 per month in bills, that leaves you with somewhere between 300 and 400 dollars a month to spend on other stuff. That's pretty much struggling in my book as all you've paid for is your car, phone, and loans. Eating off base, doing things on the week ends, etc. will leave you with very little money come the end of the month let alone if you plan on saving anything.
