What's so awesome about Las Vegas, Nevada?

I've been there multiple times and live in Reno, Nevada. It's not much different in my eyes. Just a bunch of casinos and really bad traffic. Other than Cirque Du Soleil, I don't see why people freak out about Vegas. Can anyone open my eyes here?
