Bouncers at nightclubs?

i'm from ireland and some of my male friends are constantly gettin refused from nightclubs by the bouncers they just say" sorry not tonight" even thou there dressed well and wudnt have a drop of drink in dem ...do my friends have any rights here can anyone tell me? and what rights do the bouncers have if ppl are fully sober and they still get refused
